Well known money-changer killed by armed robbers in Monrovia


He finished his normal hustle and closed his charging booth for the day. While taking a stroll home, he met his untimely demise.

This is the end-of-life story of Armah, a well known money changer on Mechlin street who was killed by unknown armed men on Friday, December 30, 2016 in central Monrovia. According to sources familiar with the incident, Armah had just closed his charging booth and was headed home around 11pm when he was attacked by thugs. They stabbed him initially and when they failed to overpower him, shot him at point blank. He was pronounced dead by medical practitioners who visited the scene immediately after the incident. No suspect has been arrested.
